  • I am looking to retrofit the lift point on my boat lift, dry weight 2800 lbs, 2 lift points bow & stern. Current system has simple sheave with thru bolt similar to SKU: 61582011 - Does the 3" X 2 ton Plate Sided Snatch Block with Shackle for 3/8" Wire Rope swivel so mounting eye axis runs perpendicular to pulley axis? - Can I use the snatch block with 1/4 or 5/16 wire rope instead of 3/8? - If not can you recommend a product that might be more appropriate?

    These rotate in 3 axis.  You can use different size cable, however, you may see premature wear on the groove of the sheave depending on use and weight.  Here is another stainless wire block and pulley for 3/8" cable.
