12-Strand Rope

12-Strand rope is an older construction for tree climbing rope, and is great for making rigging slings with rings. It’s very strong and easy to splice. It provides high strength, low elongation and excellent abrasion resistance in a single braid construction.

Sea-Strand X is a 12-stranded rope possessing superior qualities that include zero torque and is constructed from one of the highest strength to weight fibers available on the market today – ultra high molecular weight polyethylene or more commonly referred to as UHMWPE. Because of its high strength, high wear resistance and low stretch, Sea-Strand X is a suitable alternative as a replacement for wire rope. Other outstanding features of this rope is that it is easy to inspect and easily spliced.
