We recommend using Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel Cable in areas immediately adjacent to salt water, and in areas that have salt-spray or salt water splash. Duplex 2205 stainless steel is seven times more corrosion resistant than Type 316 and especially suited for applications on the beach, and on the East Coast of the United States where the water is exceptionally salty.
