Yachtkeeper 8-Plait Anchor Rode is a premium US-Made 100% nylon rope; and comes spliced to a length of Galvanized Grade 40 Anchor Windlass Chain. Crafted with precision, this anchor rode features an 8-plait construction, combining strength, stretch and flexibility for maximum holding power. It has the same tensile strength as 3-strand, but its more absorbent and heavier when wet which allows the rode to fall into the anchor locker more efficiently. Additionally, the nylon fibers are great for shock-loading, but the construction is less flexible to keep the rope operating properly in a gypsy.
