The 1,200 foot boardwalk may look daunting, but In only three months and 30,000 feet of cable rigging, the proud crew at Gill’s Crane and Dozer Services were able to turn a bare, wooden walkway into a functional cable system.
The project was commissioned last year by the parish council, ordering the construction of a much-needed walkway for pedestrians around the lakeside community of Bucktown.
But their crew knew it wouldn’t be complete without a little stainless steel cable railing.
In February, we were approached not only for the necessary supplies, but to aid in setting up a demonstration for the parish to approve. It was a privilege to be able to work on what turned out to be a beautiful project.
