Quick-Configure Your Sling

E-Rigging is excited to offer chain slings from pewag: The World's Oldest Chain Manufacturer

What Are Chain Slings Used For?

Chain lifting slings are crucial in rigging, allowing for the lifting of large and heavy loads using mobile, overhead, or tower cranes. Compared to wire rope and synthetic slings, chain systems are more adjustable and easier to repair.

Our adjustable chain slings offer versatile solutions suitable for various lifting tasks, catering to experts and those handling diverse lifts. These slings are widely used in construction, offshore and subsea operations, maritime and shipyards, mining and excavation, entertainment rigging, nuclear, energy and utilities, truck and vehicle recovery, and metalworking and manufacturing industries.

Types of Chain Slings - There are four main types of chain slings:

  • 1-Leg/Single-Leg: This sling is ideal for single-point lifts and gripping around objects, also known as a 'Drop Chain' or 'Choker Chain'.
  • 2-Leg/Double-Leg: This type is perfect for lifting loads needing multiple lifting points, also known as 'Chain Brothers' or 'Double Chains'.
  • 3-Leg/Triple-Leg: Triple leg slings are used for applications with three lift points. They are less common and available upon request.
  • 4-Leg/Quadruple-Leg: These are highly versatile and popular, especially when paired with adjustable grab hooks, also called 'Quad Slings' or 'Quad Chains'.

Typically, the more legs or chains an assembly has, the higher its weight capacity. The four primary types are further subdivided into numerous configurations, each featuring different components
