Drop Forged Wire Rope Clip

Are the U-Bolts forged as well as the cradle / saddle in a wire rope clip?

Please be assured that our drop forged wire rope clips are made to industry standards and in the same way as all quality drop forged wire rope clips are produced.

• Saddles
  • -The “Drop Forged” portion of the name refers to the saddle of wire rope clip which is indicated below with the green arrow in this image. Alternatively, we also sell “malleable” or cast stainless steel clips which have cast saddles.
  • -The drop forging process allows for superior grain structure in the saddle as illustrated in this image.
• U-Bolts
  • -The U-Bolt of forged and cast wire rope clips are made from cold rolled steel rods that are cut to length, form threaded, and bent into a U shape.
  • -Cold Rolling then bending round bar stock will create the strongest grain structure for this bent rod application.
  • -Forming the threads vs cutting will created the strongest threads.
