In the description for this tensioner, it mentions it could handle up to 100 feet of cable run (3/16 size). In my plans for my DIY cable railing system, I was under the impression that I would need to split several of my straight long runs (40 ft) into shorter runs (2 @ 20ft). It sounds like the use of this tensioner it would allow me to keep that as one run and avoid splitting into 2 runs. Would this tensioner be strong enough? Many thanks for any advice. P.S. I will have 2x2 metal corner posts, 1/4 inch thick.
It really depends on the spacing between the posts holding up the cable. If you are supporting the cable every 4-6 feet you can run with 1 tensioner upwards of 100 feet. It is recommended to use 2 tensioners (1 on each side) for cable that is not supported every 8-10 feet or more, and even then, you may still see some sag in the line.

Can the 1/8" Hydraulic Cable Railing Swager be used with the REVO family tension fittings? Your listing for the REVO tension fitting says that the Crenshaw swager must be used, but the hydraulic swager listing says that it can be used for REVO and AXIS fittings. Please clarify.
Yes the hydraulic is our temporary solution to the swaging process while we put the Crenshaw tool through some tests.
