Golden Meadow, Louisiana, is now home to an exceptional outdoor gym, thanks to Lafourche Parish's recent installation of a Fitness Court® at Oak Ridge Community Park. This innovative fitness facility is part of the National Fitness Campaign's efforts to combat obesity and promote wellness, and it’s designed for users aged 14 and older, adaptable to all fitness levels.
A State-of-the-Art Fitness Experience
The new Fitness Court® features seven workout stations that allow users to leverage their own body weight for a complete workout. This setup is not only versatile but also ensures that everyone, regardless of their fitness level, can benefit from the facility.

One of the standout aspects of this project is the use of high-quality rigging components, ensuring the facility's longevity and safety. The rigging in the park includes:
- Type 316 Stainless Steel Fittings: Chosen for their durability and resistance to corrosion, featuring snag-free and tamper-resistant properties.
- Vinyl Coated Cable: Stripped and swaged properly for maximum strength, ensuring the stability and safety of the workout stations.
- Shoulder Eyebolts: Correctly installed to provide secure attachment points.
- Heavy Duty Thimbles, Quick-links, and No-Snag Swivels: These components enhance the overall safety and functionality of the gym equipment.
