Getting Started with REVO Cable Railing - Cable Railing Unboxing

The package containing your HAAS Stainless REVO cable railing system has arrived, and now you’re ready to unbox it and get started with your installation. In this article, we’re going to help to make sure that you get started on the right foot so that your installation goes as efficiently as possible.

Before you do anything, we recommend printing out a copy of your order invoice or pulling it up on a phone or tablet so you can reference it for the component quantities that are on your order.

REVO Component Pre-Assembly

Your project may not require all the components in the REVO System lineup. However, for this video, we’re going to break down all the parts and pre-assembly required for all available components.

The cable you ordered will come in boxes just like this. You can go ahead and remove them from their packaging and set them to the side.

The next step is to sort out your components. Each large bag will be marked with an abbreviation that indicates which component and size is inside.

REVO Thru Post Tensioners will come in a bag labeled SSA-1 or SSA-2.

REVO Thru Post End Stops will come in a bag labeled SSS-1 or SSS-2.

REVO Low Profile End Stops will come in a bag labeled LPS-1 or LPS-2.

REVO Lag Tensioners will come in a bag labeled LST-1 or LST-2.

And lastly, REVO Lag End Stops will come in a bag labeled LRS-1 or LRS-2.

If you ordered Wood Post Protectors, go ahead and set those to the side. You’ll be using those later during your installation.

The only components for the REVO System that need pre-assembly are the REVO Lag Tensioners. So, take the Thru Post Tensioners, Thru Post End Stops, and Lag End Stops and set those groups of components to the side.

REVO Lag Tensioners are composed of five different parts: a lag receiver, lag receiver turnbuckle cap, turnbuckle threaded stud, a turnbuckle body, and a turnbuckle swage stud. Your project may not require REVO Lag Tensioners. However, if it did, here’s how to pre-assemble them.

Start off by setting your lag receivers and lag receiver turnbuckle caps to the side. To pre-assemble the parts for your Lag Tensioners, first, locate your turnbuckle body. Thread the turnbuckle swage stud into the left-hand threaded side of your turnbuckle body, and the turnbuckle threaded stud into the right-hand threaded side of your turnbuckle body, so that the threads on each of the studs are barely hidden. Repeat this assembly process for the remaining quantity of Lag Tensioners on your order.

So now that your HAAS Stainless REVO Cable Railing System components have been pre-assembled and accounted for, you’re now ready to begin your installation.
